AUGUST 22nd, 2020 MEETING

We have been able to set up a meet and greet with Joel Jabaay of Jabaay Motors.  The plan is to go to Jabaay Motors on Saturday August 22 at 10 AM (he is out of town on the 15th) located at 8120 Grant, St. Merrillville, IN 46410. We will have a chance to visit with Joel and get to know him.  As discussed the club will provide coffee and donuts. Stacey and I will stop and get them on our way. I am thinking after an hour or so we will cruise to Lemon Lake County Park (6322 W133rd Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307) for a meeting at one of the pavilions.  Stacey and I went there last weekend to check it out.  While there were several open pavilions and spaces that we could use there is a $5 per car charge to enter the park on the weekend. I suspect we can start the club meeting at noon. So if someone did not want to go to the meeting at Jabaay Motors just be at the park at noon for the meeting.  I anticipate one of the two pavilions at the dog park area will be open and easiest for us to get to and use. Plenty of parking and a restroom nearby. At our meeting we will discuss Jabaay Motors being the automotive sponsor for Crown Point Corvette Club. We will also finalize dates for the Christmas party and the club picnic. The park does have restrooms and picnic tables but plan for the worst and bring your own chairs, umbrella, snacks and beverages. After the meeting is over since your $5 is good for the, hiking trails, frisbee golf and the play ground area are available for use.

We are deeply sadden about the passing of

one of our club members. Our deepest condolences

goes out to her husband Jim and the rest of the family!
